MEXICO
Mexico is an extremely large country consisting of 32 individual states. The following locations are geographically organized. North to South. I couldn't begin to even start to describe the country as a whole. But what I will say is that Mexico as a country just has everything. A phrase I commonly found myself saying was. "Mexico Tiene Todo" which means Mexico has it all. It really does. Mexico in my opinion has the most beautiful beaches in Latin America and some of the most beautiful in the world. It has the best food in Latin America. It boasts some of the most diverse landscape of any country in the continent, amazing and rich culture, extremely kind and welcoming people. It also contains some of the best waves in the entire world. Mexico has places that are perfect for resort tourists but it also is full of places that are unknown to all of those people. Places to explore and places to see what Mexico is really like. Mexico is so so much more than Cabo and Cancun. But I hope that the majority of the world, the people who fill the shores of Cabo and Cancun every year actually never learn that. Leave those places to them and then the rest of the country can remain culturally rich and beautiful. Allow for a sustainable type of tourism that promotes the culture of the place rather than crushing it. Mexico frequently gets a reputation of being dangerous. Never once in the 8 months or so I have spent in the country did I feel like I was in danger. If you do something stupid with a cartel, well hey that might get you in trouble. That's not Mexico's fault. That is your fault. I would say you have nothing to worry about in Mexico unless you cause trouble yourself. The people here are kind, welcoming, and especially when you get out of the tourist traps they are excited to show you the country that they are proud of. Mexico is my favorite country in Latin America. It is a place that feels to me like home more than anywhere else. I can't say enough about this beautiful place and the people who live there. I will continue to go back and explore Mexico for the rest of my life. Considering its size, for the larger states, with more to see (from my experience), clicking on the name of the state will reveal a subpage. They are denoted on the map with a larger circle. Intuitive I thought. But people will surprise you. Within are the specific locations.
